1. What is Lufthansa?

Lufthansa is a German airliner which is based in Germany and the largest airliner holding company in Germany and the largest passenger airliner in the Europe. Lufthansa operates from the main hub in Frankfurt Airport and the Munich Airport in Germany.

Lufthansa is one of the founding members of the Star Alliance Alliance program and Lufthansa holds many number of airlines which are based and operates in Europe. Lufthansa flies to 220 destinations by the fleet of 220 aircraft manufacture by Boeing and Airbus.

Lufthansa group owns over 700 aircraft in total which are also own by the subsidiaries of the Lufthansa group, and the largest aircraft owning airliner in the world.

2. History

Lufthansa was founded in 6th January 1953 and initially operated with the turboprop engine powered aircraft and later with jet powered engine aircraft. Lufthansa is traded publicly on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and currently headquartered in Cologne, Germany.
