1. What is Isuzu?

Isuzu is one of the Japanese Auto manufacture which does manufacture mainly commercial type vehicles and power trains currently. Isuzu is popular for the diesel internal combustion engine which are built to be efficient and ready for hard use in the commercial industry.

Isuzu's best selling products includes trucks, lorries and Semi Trucks. In addition to the heavy duty vehicle range, Isuzu also does manufacture industrial engines, SUV vehicles and cab type pickup trucks which are rugged and ready to hard use.

2. History

The formation of Isuzu begins with the corporation from two companies in Japan which were named as Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd and Tokyo Gas and Electric Industrial Co., Ltd to manufacture automobiles. But the both the companies was lacked in the technology into the automobile industry so both the companies got partnered with the Wolseley Motors Limited in 1918. With the corporation of the three companies, they manufactured the first car ever.

After going with multiple management changes and agreements Isuzu is in a stable state at the moment. Toyota acquired 5.9% of the Isuzu's shares in 2006 and became the third largest share holder of Isuzu. Isuzu is currently traded publicly on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and currently headquartered in Shingawa, Tokyo, Japan.
