2. History

Hyundai Motors is founded by Chung Ju-Yung in 29th December 1967. With the requirement to manufactures after being in the engineering and construction industry from 1947 Chung Ju-Yung released the first model of Hyundai in corporation with Ford Motor Company in 1968.

Hyundai hired Auston Morris at British Layland's managing director by the time in 1974 to accomplish the mission to manufacture solely Hyundai vehicles and Hyundai did so and manufactured Hyundai the first Korean car named Pony in 1975. The car's design was done by an ItalDesign and the engine technology was adopted by Mitsubishi Motors which is a Japanese automaker.

Hyundai Motors is traded publicly on Korean Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange and NASDAQ Stock Exchange and Hyundai is currently headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
