1. What is Dodge?

Dodge is an American Automaker which does manufacture SUVs, Sports Cars, Vans under the Dodge brand name. Dodge Sports cars are one of the world's most popular mussel cars and they are barely street legal due to the performance bundled as a product.

2. History

Dodge was founded by John Francis Dodge and Horace Elgin Dodge in 1900. In the initial days Dodge was manufacturing precision engine and chassis components of the automobiles. Dodge manufactured chassis in other range of automobile parts for well known automobile manufactures in USA.

In Dodge formed a company in 1913 in the intention to manufacture motor cars and 1914 designed the firth car of Dodge with a four cylinder touring type model. Dodge vehicles were popular in the World war period among the military forces in USA.

After the Dodge brothers died unfortunately the company was eventually sold to Chrysler and after the acquisition of Chrysler by the Fiat and forming Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Dodge started as a division of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
