Daihatsu is one of the oldest automobile manufacture based in Japan. Daihatsu is popular for the small engine type vehicles which are compact and budget type vehicles. Daihatsu manufacture, hybrid vehicles, cars, mini trucks, vans and mini SUV type vehicles.

2. History

Daihatsu was formed in 1st of March 1951 as a restructure of the Hatsudoki Seizo Co., Ltd which was founded in 1907. Daihatsu operates as a subsidiary company of Toyota. Daihatsu also owns a 25% share of the Perodua currently. Daihatsu and currently headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
