Chrysler was founded by Walter P. Chrysler in 6th June 1925. Chrysler was formed in the process of re-organization of Maxwell Motor Company. Chrysler with the request of Maxwell, arrived to the Maxwell motors to resolve the trouble operational flow. With the end of production of Maxwell automobiles in late 1923, Chrysler took over the company and renamed it as Chrysler Automobile in January 1924.

After the launch of the Chrysler, Chrysler manufactured 6 cylinder vehicles which are reliable and filled with the performance. After going through many years of manufacturing vehicles which are reliable and made to perform, Chrysler had to partner with the Daimler AG due to lack of planning and the stability of the organization after the founder of Chrysler passes away. With the merger of the Daimler, Chrysler was re-branded as DaimlerChrysler in 1998. However the Daimler sold the shares of Chrysler on 14th May 2007 and made Chrysler was re-branded as Chrysler again.

Since the Chrysler was manufacturing only performance vehicles and vehicles which are with high engine capacity, Chrysler vehicles was burning lot of fuel and with the great recession, the consumers wasn't in a state to own and maintain such a vehicle. And the company started to have troubles with the financials. Since Chrysler was a giant automobile which is classified as too big to fail, Chrysler got the support from United States of American government and the Canadian Government support to raise up with financing. However the organization was in tight cash flow and Fiat completely acquired Chrysler in 21st January 2014 and formed a new organization named Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Chrysler currently operates as a division of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and currently headquartered in Michigan, United States of America.
