VPN is a shortened term for Virtual Private Network. Virtual Private Network is a type of a network which allows users to access private and secured networks remotely by the Wide Area Networks or Internet.

VPN uses several techniques to take back and forth data via the open internet with encrypted tunneling like methods and dedicated connectivity solutions only between the two solutions or the end points.

VPNs or Virtual Private Networks are used in wide range of applications. Starting for banks, military, defense, governments, individuals and etc... uses Virtual Private Networks to keep data secure or to browse data securely from the hackers and other phishing type activities.
