After releasing iOS 9, Apple Inc released iOS 10 which is to take forward the legacy of iOS mobile operating system.

1. What is iOS 10?

iOS 10 was announced by Apple Inc on 13th June 2016 at the Worldwide Developers Conference also known as WWDC. iOS 10 was released on 13th September 2016 with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Apple dropped support to devices which does have A5 or A5X processors due to the change in OS architecture of iOS 10. The products which Apple dropped support includes iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3, iPad Mini 1st generation and iPod Touch 5th generation devices.

iOS 10 supported iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPad 4 limited as they had 32 bit processors. iPhone 5S to latest devices, iPod Touch 6th generation to latest devices and iPad Mini 2 to latest devices supported fully by iOS 10.
