Connectivity and speed is extremely important for the day to day tasks which we are performing. To transfer data, to watch a movie, to listen to a music tracks and many things we use connectivity.


USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. USB is a technology to connect devices and transfer data based on wired platform. Apart from any other wired connectivity type which exists in the world, USB or Universal Serial Bus plays a great role by connecting devices which we use daily and transfer data in-between the devices faster and efficiently.

The ports which we had early days, parallel ports communication ports not efficient and needed to use multiple protocol layers to communicate among the devices from the motherboard. 

USB is designed to standardize the connectivity ports of the keyboards, mouse and other devices which we use daily and to provide a common interface or a protocol to use to transfer commands, signals and data.


There were multiple versions with technological advancements made into the USB as version modification. The intention were to enhance the speed and the efficiency of USB.
