What is USB 3.2?

USB 3.2 is all about new technology. A new socket and a new encoding pattern. In July 25th 2017 the USB 3.0 Promoter Group released a pending update to the USB Type C Specification which defined the double speed of bandwidth.

Technology

USB Type C or USB-C is a USB connector type which can enable the speed of 20Gbit/s with the generation 2 USB 3.2. 

USB-C or USB Type C connector does have 24 pins and specification for USB Type-C cable was published by USB Implementers Forum or USB-IF in August 2014. Increase of Pins means Increasing of data lanes and Increasing of Data Lanes means Increasing of Bandwidth. As a result of increasing data lanes, the bandwidth got increased and multi lane data transfer came into live.

By using the old specification of USB 3.2 specification, Super Speed USB Type C 3.1 cables got the capability to transfer 10 Gbit/s and the SuperSpeed+ certified USB Type C Generation 2 cables got the capability to transfer data a speed of 20Gbit/s.
