What is 3G or UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System? - Explained

After the second generation technologies in the cellular networks, the 3rd generation cellular networks or the 3G networks came into industry. 3rd Generation cellular network or 3G started to become the super faster by the time.

What is 3G?

3rd Generation cellular networks or 3G cellular networks started to known as the UMTS or Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS)

Technology

In the 3G cellular networks there are two types of technologies which are used in. By making as the UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA) as the base technology, UTRA-FDD also known as UTRA Frequency Division Distribution and UTRA-TDD also known as UTRA Time Division Duplexing.

All two technologies using below frequencies to deliver the cellular signals to the end user in different regions in the world.
